2025 Hyundai Santa Cruz for Sale or Lease in Fredericksburg
2025 Hyundai Santa Cruz
The Hyundai Santa Cruz is the ultimate multitasker, seamlessly and stylishly blending the utility of a pickup with the cruising comfort of a crossover. Built on a unibody platform, it offers a four-foot cargo bed that may be small but comes in handy in quite a few applications. Beyond its rugged capabilities, this ready-for-anything vehicle excels as a daily driver, since it’s packed with advanced technology and comfort features. For 2025, it sports a refreshed front bumper and grille, while the off-road-focused XRT trim gets upgrades like all-terrain tires, front tow hooks, a surround-view camera with live blind-spot monitoring, and an improved approach angle. Plus, the Santa Cruz is more than capable of pulling a midsized trailer or small boat with its towing capacity of 5,000 pounds.
Powertrains, Trims, and Towing
Hyundai offers the 2025 Santa Cruz in five trims: SE, SEL, SEL Activity, XRT, and Limited. A 2.5-liter four-cylinder (191 horsepower and 181 lb.-ft. of torque) engine paired with an eight-speed automatic transmission is standard in the SE, SEL, and SEL Activity. Maximized performance is brought to the XRT and Limited with a turbocharged 2.5-liter four-cylinder (281 hp and 311 lb.-ft. of torque) that mates with a more engaging wet dual-clutch eight-speed automatic. The first three trims come standard with front-wheel drive (FWD), but they’re eligible for the all-wheel drivetrain that the XRT and Limited get standard.
The Santa Cruz toes the line between compact crossover and pickup, with one advantage being better fuel economy than you’d expect from a truck. The FWD versions of the SE, SEL, and SEL Activity return an EPA-estimated 22 mpg in the city and 30 mpg on the highway, which dips to 21 city/29 highway with AWD. The XRT achieves 18 city/26 highway, while the Limited will give you 19 city/27 highway.
The Santa Cruz’s towing capability also varies according to the trim and drivetrain. The maximum capacity for the SE and SEL is 3,500 pounds. The SEL Activity with FWD reaches that same limit, but it jumps to 5,000 lb. with AWD, as do the XRT and Limited with their standard AWD.
Standard Equipment by Trim Level
The entry-level SE’s feature list is considerable, as it includes proximity keyless entry, remote start, push-button ignition, LED daytime running lights and taillights, automatic bi-LED projector headlights, a 4.2-inch gauge cluster, cloth upholstery, manually adjustable front seats, rear bumper assist steps, four USB ports (two in each row), rear privacy glass, 18-inch wheels, a 60/40-split rear seatback with tip-up lower cushions, and an acoustic-laminated windscreen designed to reduce road noise. The sheet-molded composite bed is accessible via a multi-functional remote-release tailgate and is outfitted with heavy-duty D-rings for securing cargo, multiple storage compartments, and LED lighting.
Those who upgrade to the SEL will find a power driver’s seat, H-Tex leatherette upholstery, heated front seats, dual-zone automatic climate control with rear AC vents, heated side mirrors with LED turn signals, and roof rails. The SEL Activity receives a power tilt-and-slide sunroof, a 12.3-inch digital gauge cluster, a wireless phone charging dock, and a rear sliding-glass window. The cargo bed on this trim is also decked out with a tonneau cover with T-slot utility tracks, more LED lighting, a 115-volt power outlet, and a dual C-channel adjustable utility track rail and cleat system.
The XRT drops the sunroof but gets a leather-wrapped steering wheel and shift knob, black H-Tex upholstery, Digital Key 2, flared fenders, all-terrain tires, and black exterior trim. At the top of the trim range, the Limited returns to the conventional design (without the blacked-out exterior, fender flares, or all-terrain tires). In addition to Digital Key 2 and the leather-wrapped steering wheel and shift knob, it gets genuine leather upholstery, a sliding sunroof, a heated steering wheel, heated and ventilated front seats, rain-sensing windshield wipers, a rearview mirror with HomeLink and auto-dim, 64-color ambient interior lighting, and 20-inch wheels.
Advanced Safety Systems
Hyundai’s extensive SmartSense safety suite is installed on every trim of the 2025 Santa Cruz. This advanced technology package consists of blind-spot warning, forward collision-avoidance assist with pedestrian detection, driver attention warning, lane keeping and following assist, automatic high beams, rear cross-traffic collision-avoidance assist, rear occupant alert, and safe exit warning. The XRT and Limited offer next-level safety with adaptive cruise control, an improved forward collision system featuring junction turning and cyclist detection, an active blind-spot view monitor, speed limit assist, and highway driving assist. As the topmost trim, the Limited also gets a surround-view monitor.
Connectivity and Infotainment
A new standard infotainment system with a 12.3-inch touchscreen is a 2025 upgrade for the Santa Cruz, replacing the 8-inch version from 2024. All five trims come with wireless Android Auto, Apple CarPlay, SiriusXM satellite radio, HD Radio, Bluelink+, hands-free Bluetooth phone and audio streaming, and a sound system. The XRT and Limited are sweetened with dynamic voice recognition, integrated navigation, and Hyundai Pay, while the Limited shows off an upscale Bose audio system.
