“ Bought a 2026 Palisade Hybrid in November 2025. The check engine light came on in December before the first payment was made. The service dept diagnosed the problem without an appointment (the only bright side). The issue is with the engine flaps on one side of the vehicle, covered under warranty. After approx. 6 weeks, we were finally notified that the part arrived and scheduled the appt for the repair. Two days before the appt, the passenger side air flaps suffered the same issue. The vehicle was taken to the dealership and confirmed that it was the same issue so it was decided to fix both flaps at the same time, so we waited patiently for the 2nd part. Only when we contacted the service dept were we told that the part had arrived. The day before our appt, we were contacted by the service dept that the issue is now considered to be a recall item and that our appt needs to be cancelled. We were told that it cannot be repaired under warranty with the parts that they have. These parts would have to be “returned” and ordered under the recall which are now on back order. We’re on our 3rd month with the check engine light being on and have no idea when the repair can be completed. At this point, the only people benefiting from this is the dealership because they can now claim a recall and incur zero cost. But we as the customer have to be patient. Since my job order was already started, parts are in hand, why not just fix the vehicle! ”

When the vehicle is parked and the engine has been turned off, the Rear Occupant Alert can help to alert the driver if the rear door(s) have been opened at any point after the vehicle was unlocked at the beginning of the journey. Upon turning the engine off, Rear Occupant Alert will provide a visual alert on the instrument cluster. Rear Occupant Alert is not a substitute for driver attentiveness. 8. Highway Drive Assist (HDA), when used in conjunction with Lane Following Assist and Smart Cruise Control, is for highway use only and can help keep the vehicle centered in its lane while maintaining a safe distance from the vehicle ahead only when the lane markings are clearly visible on the road and should not be used in poor weather, heavy or varying traffic, or on winding or slippery roads. HDA will not work under all circumstances and will not prevent loss of control. Driver remains responsible to slow or stop the vehicle to avoid a collision.
