Another new feature is pedestrian detection, which recognizes danger and halts the car if necessary. This automatic braking can also respond to an unheeded collision warning. Reverse steering torque assists with lane departures, helping to guide the sedan back into its lane. Blind spot monitors watch both sides of the car. A forward-view cornering camera helps take the uncertainty out of certain slow maneuvers. Electronic sensors also watch for rear cross-traffic when the sedan is in reverse. Visibility aids include an auto-defogging windshield and rain-response wipers.
