The 2019 Hyundai Santa FE XL is a three-row crossover that has a host of standard features for the money, an excellent warranty, a strong V6 engine, and a user-friendly infotainment system. The 2019 Honda Pilot is also a three-row crossover that has adequate standard features, but not as many as the Santa FE XL and they cost more. The warranty for the Pilot does not quite measure up to the coverage of the of the Santa FE XL and although the infotainment system on the Honda Pilot has been redesigned, it is not as intuitive as the Hyundai Santa FE XL's. Both vehicles draw interest from consumers who desire a spacious crossover that can seat up to seven passengers while offering the latest in technology and capabilities. Performance
If you desire a crossover with plenty of power, acceleration, precise steering, and above average handling qualities, then the 2019 Hyundai Santa FE XL is the crossover for you. The Santa FE XL has two available trims: SE and Limited Ultimate. It has a 3.3-liter V6 engine that produces 290 hp and is mated to a smooth shifting and responsive six-speed automatic transmission. Front wheel drive is standard on all trims with available all-wheel-drive.
The 2019 Honda Pilot has a less powerful V6 engine that produces 280 hp. A six-speed automatic transmission is standard on all trims. Front wheel drive is standard on all models except the top trim, which has all-wheel-drive standard.
Standard Features
When it comes to standard equipment, the 2019 Hyundai Santa FE XL gives you more bang for your buck. The Santa FE XL includes Hyundai's Blue Link Communications, LED running lights, USB, smartphone integration for Android and Apple, dual-zone automatic climate control, heated mirrors, satellite radio, and many other features.
While the 2019 Honda Pilot has some of the standard features as the Santa FE XL such as USB and LED headlights, it lacks popular equipment such as Bluetooth, smartphone integration, and dual-zone climate control. It also has a smaller 5-inch infotainment display.
Interior Cabin
The cabin of the Santa FE XL was with convenience in mind. It has attractive physical controls that are easy to use. The second-row seats can recline and slide backward and forward. This improves headroom, legroom, and comfort. The Honda Pilot controls are not as user-friendly because it lacks physical knobs for some key features. There is also a smaller amount of space to access the third-row compared to the Santa FE XL.
