2019 Hyundai Sonata

Performance

With its inline 4-cylinder engine and a 6-speed automatic transmission with SHIFTRONIC® coming standard, the new Sonata has a lot of get-up-and-go. This engine/transmission combo gives drivers 185-hp and 178 lb-ft of torque. If that isn't enough power for you, consider the Limited 2.0T. This souped-up version has an Inline 4-cylinder Twin-scroll Turbo paired with an 8-speed automatic transmission with SHIFTRONIC® transmission. This setup gives drivers 245-hp and 260 lb-ft of torque.

Interior

There are a lot of great and convenient technological features coming standard in the 2019 Sonata. All trim levels will come with steering-wheel-mounted audio, cruise control, and Bluetooth. Every trim except the top of the line Limited 2.0T will come with a 7" color touchscreen. An 8" touchscreen with navigation comes standard on the Limited 2.0T and is an option on the Limited. Every trim level is compatible with both Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.

Safety

Hyundai takes safety very seriously. There are many amazing standard safety features for the Sonata in 2019. Drivers get a rearview camera, Blind Spot Detection, Rear Cross-traffic Alert, and Lane Change Assist. This vehicle also comes with a Traction Control System, Anti-Lock Brake System, Electronic Stability Control, Brake Assist, and a Tire Pressure Monitoring System. Some of the features that are options for certain trim levels include Lane Keep Assist, Automatic High Beam Assist, and Automatic Emergency Braking with Pedestrian Detection. In the event of a crash, the Sonata has you covered with strategically placed airbags, an impact-absorbing steering column, and front and rear crumple zones.
